Hello.
It has been challenging this year to set a date that sticks for our Town Hall visit. As such, it is postponed until the new year. We will keep the same permission slips with a note of the new date when it happens and if your child cannot attend, you can send a note back in.
Writing our personal narrative is underway and the final day to submit is Thursday. Nov. 2. This can be done handwritten, through the assignment click on Google Classroom, or by sharing it to me through Google Drive. Students are doing well with these new technology options and I am excited to see which they choose. In any case the writing piece "moment" must have the following within it:
1- A lead that is something other than the ordinary "This is my...."
2- Action words and lots of verbs
3- A dialogue or two from someone in your moment ex. "Yipee," I yelled as I splashed into the pool.
4- Try to break it into small chunks (aka paragraphs) when you feel it is a right spot to do so.
